A KDP Key Word Challenge

blogger widgets

In my previous post I was pretty happy publishing my first white paper. Previous I had read all about finding your niche blabla. One of the limitations of publishing via Amazon's KDP program is that you SEO tools are relatively limited. You can select your categories and add a total of 7 keywords, separated by comma's so in my example the term "credit management" seems to count as one word. Interesting in some way yes! It opens an opportunity.

After I published I suddenly realized I could have put in "careers in credit management for middle aged color blind men" and if my understanding is correct that would be counted as one word..
I am not sure about it, feel free to correct me!
Much to my surprise my white paper had been categorized as follows

Look for Similar Items by Category

Some pretty serious categories! Right? Yep indeed and again to my surprise my paper ranked well, not sure if it is high or low. I can see about 5,428 papers and books rank better, earlier in the day though my rank was #4027. Welcome to ABSR stock exchange... The #1 spot in Vocational Guidance was and is a surprise

I have to be honest it was only me and three others in the free category ... Haha but nobody will remember that one in ten years time
